As another year draws to an end, we wanted to give you all BIG thank you, as we truly wouldn’t be here without you! Despite umming and ahhing we were compelled to write to you for the first time, as without a doubt it has been the toughest but also best year so far. We’ll try to keep this short but here’s the good, bad and ugly of 2022 and whilst the last 4.5yrs has been a hell of a ride, the year that was has just been a crazy rollercoaster.

The start of the year was very wet and particularly slow. Although it usually is always slower at the beginning of the year, the floods wreaked havoc on the roads, with tests cancelled and students trapped or inundated, but nevertheless it’s terrible to see all the other businesses that were also affected.

Easter on the other hand was unforgettable as little Charlie entered the world on Good Friday. Thank you for all the gifts and everyone that remained flexible with their lesson availability! If anyone ever wants or needs some cuddles, just let me know! Charlie’s pretty good for it. 

Then BOOM the first half of 2022 was done and dusted, which also meant the fun of EOFY reporting was upon us, actually it wasn’t much fun but that’s another story with FY2023 just around the corner. But before we get there COVID finally caught up to us for the first time after managing to keep our distance from it for so long. Yes, Charlie got it too and he wasn’t even 5 months old, so yes much fun was had, almost as much fun as we have in lessons, right? I am beyond grateful that my last surviving grandparent was able to see my kid, even if it was just for 5 months, as granddad passed away peacefully in his sleep at 95 yo. 

Don’t worry our year got (better) rear ended at least three times, found our way on the back of a tow truck also another three times (unrelated to being rear ended), changed a very expensive clutch, but for the cherry on top we got in an at fault accident (to which I was not driving nor teaching in, but hey again that’s another story) to which we are still trying to sort it insurance. We did turn this accident into a positive and took advantage of it for Halloween for the first time. Thought we’d better give the kids something better than just fruit (as we forgot Halloween last year, but don’t worry they didn’t let me forget, I gave them fruit).

As we start to slow down for Christmas, please don’t leave your bookings till the last minute and get in early as we send it into 2023. Bookings are already up till Feb with limited spaces left for January. This is also applicable for driving tests, so if you haven’t booked it already click the link to find out how. 

Once again thank you to all my past, present and future students. The memories from teaching each and every single one of you will surely last a lifetime. Also thank you to my amazing #DreamTeam of instructors, students and friends who have helped me along the way. There were surely lots of movements and challenges within the team as they left, came back, only to leave again but having one of our instructors  give birth to a healthy little baby girl 4 days after Charlie made it all worthwhile! <3
